FRIENDS OF THE CAMPTON LIBRARY
GREETINGS FRIENDS AND HOPE-TO-BE-FRIENDS of the CAMPTON PUBLIC LIBRARY
As we approach our new membership year, September 2023 to August 2024, we had anticipated that we would be sending you updates on construction of a new Campton Public Library.
The Campton Public Library Study Committee had hoped to post a warrant article at the 2023 Town Meeting: however, Mother Nature had other ideas.
Town roads, drastically impacted by spring storms, were sometimes impassable. Repairing and upgrading town roads became a priority for the safety of our citizens. Once this project is completed, which may take a few years, the Committee will continue their work towards a new, free-standing Library.
The Friends continue to play a vital role in enhancing and enriching the resources and activities involving our community. This fall, a local author, Shannon Mullen will be speaking at the library about her new book, In Other Words, Leadership, on Thursday, October 12, at 7:00 P.M. Ms. Mullen is a journalist, author, screenwriter, and playwright who has been telling stories since her childhood in Campton.
As we apply for grants and funds to equip our new library with tables, computers, etc., the support of our community is extremely important. SUPPORT FROM YOU, as a Friends member, is very important.
We are asking you to join the FRIENDS of the CAMPTON PUBLIC LIBRARY. There are no membership requirements; participation in the library's programs is optional. We appreciate any help you may give as well as suggestions you may offer.
Individual/Family -$20 Sponsor - $25 Business - $50
THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUING SUPPORT.
Please complete and return this form to: FRIENDS of Campton Public Library, C/O Nancy P Donahue, 114 Perch Pond Rd, Campton. NH 03223 with your Annual (Sept-August) Membership dues. THANK YOU!
